Seventeen-year-old Irene L experienced respiratory failure from an allergic reaction on September 29-30, 1975. She found herself floating through a narrow, ox-blood red tunnel that felt warm, peaceful and pleasant. She sensed a companion presence with her, never hitting anything despite the winding curves. She suddenly understood everything and knew she was in the realm of death, existing simultaneously as a small child and her current self. They reached an enormous light where she realized her companion was a boy her age. A glowing being of light greeted them, radiating indescribable love and safety.
