James FM's ulcer exploded during a cauterization procedure on May 29, 2000, causing massive hemorrhaging. He was clinically dead for 43 minutes. During this time, he floated above his body watching medical staff work on him, feeling deep peace without fear or pain. He observed "ghosts" floating through glass doors into a hallway where six children in old-fashioned church clothes played "Ring around the Rosy" near a pillar. Beyond them was a beautiful amber glow. A magnificent Chinese Dragon appeared in the corner - azure and lime colored with rainbow colors - along with a blood-red scorpion the size of a collie walking around his bed. The Dragon smiled and said he was there to help, the scorpion to protect. When James tried to join the children and enter the amber light, the Dragon said it wasn't his time, that he had many more things to do. The Dragon touched his forehead at the third eye location and showed him visions of future events - himself, his children, the world, other worlds, orchestrated like a symphony with destruction and rebuilding leading to ultimate peace. The Dragon touched his forehead again and James returned to his body two days later. This was his fifth encounter with the Dragon, having seen it four times previously and twice since.
