Six-year-old James E was dying from advanced Hodgkin's lymphoma after three years of treatment. Following exploratory surgery to remove tumors, he fell into a five-day coma. He found himself on a narrow ledge in complete darkness, pressed against a wall, desperately trying not to fall into the void below.
