On New Year's Eve 2004, sixteen-year-old Harry consumed dangerous amounts of beer, vodka, and gin at a party. He passed out and was found unconscious by police who called an ambulance when they couldn't wake him. He spent two days in the hospital detoxing, with doctors saying he was lucky to survive. During unconsciousness, Harry found himself without a body in infinite black, misty darkness like space. The blackness had a unique quality - dense yet clear. He could see in all directions and move at any speed. Despite having no body, he maintained vision without needing to breathe. He experienced perfect peace, love, and happiness. In the distance, he saw a bright light the size of a door but felt no compulsion to approach it. No other beings were present. Upon awakening in the hospital, he felt the crushing weight of his body and pain, contrasting sharply with the peaceful void. Before this experience, he was uncertain about an afterlife; afterward, he knew with certainty one exists. The experience felt more real than life itself, and he could have stayed there forever.
