Dustine experienced multiple NDEs following a 1974 motorcycle accident where a truck ran her over, crushing her spine (L-1), collapsing a lung, causing compound fractures and massive injuries. She was not expected to survive. During ICU, a light being/angel named Ivy visited three times over consecutive nights. The being had long blonde hair, cotton garment, barefoot, with intense sky-blue topaz eyes. They communicated telepathically - Ivy offered her the choice to "roll over and die" or stay. Dustine chose to stay to find her purpose, mentioning not wanting to "come back and do it all over" (reincarnation reference).
Under morphine during surgery, she experienced soaring over Monument Valley terrain toward a magnetic orange sun with others, feeling wind and joy before being "slam dunked" back. The surgeon said she "kept trying to kiss the angels." Years later during a migraine, she "squirted out" between her eyes to a marble pavilion with a great wall. Through a briefly opened door, she glimpsed a magnificent garden with birds, fountains, glowing trees with crystalline light. Two male guardian beings prevented full entry, saying it wasn't her time. She developed healing abilities: scanning bodies for illness with her hands, bringing comfort, once stopping a nosebleed instantly. She knows things about people psychically. Despite severe chronic pain and wheelchair use, she maintains hope through knowing the garden awaits.
