Dave experienced an accident that left him incapacitated and slipping into physical failure with bodily functions ceasing. While being monitored in a bedroom, he focused on a hallway light that suddenly rushed away at tremendous speed as he stopped breathing. Fully aware and at peace, he instantly traveled to observe the people downstairs, some of whom saw him and remarked he looked better. He then witnessed someone hitting his chest to revive him. Upon slipping away again, he found himself in a dark expanse where he was instructed to "See" and suddenly understood everything about the nature of the universe. The knowledge was overwhelming, taking years of "zone out" moments to process fragments of what he learned. He knew the frustrating truth that people would struggle to comprehend what he had been shown, understanding why people are clairvoyant, where UFOs come from, and the music heard during NDEs.
