Charlene P developed septic shock and lung collapse six days after appendix surgery. In the ICU with at least six people working on her, she felt herself slipping from consciousness. She then observed from above as they worked on her body, feeling profound peace. Her attention was drawn to an overwhelming light and feeling of love she remembered but had never felt on Earth.
