Christine S experienced a catastrophic car accident on an unfamiliar road, taking a curve at high speed. Her car struck a culvert, split a telephone pole in half, went airborne eight feet, hit a steel billboard post, and came to rest upside down against a tree. The crash was rated 5/5 severity with the engine in the front seat. She has no memory of the impact but experienced an intense NDE. She felt excruciating pain transforming into ecstasy and knew she had felt Christ's crucifixion - becoming one with Jesus and experiencing what He experienced on the cross. She felt the pain, suffering, and release followed by pure ecstasy. In a void or blackness, alone yet unified with everything, she realized the eternal nature of existence and felt overwhelming joy at discovering immortality's reality. Upon regaining consciousness still trapped in the vehicle, she asked "What does ecstasy feel like?" Her injuries remarkably paralleled Christ's wounds: cuts across her hairline (crown of thorns), cuts on both feet, and both hands injured. In the ER, she asked about stigmata. She experienced both heavenly ecstasy and a hellish vision of being left behind in the rapture, driving dark roads seeing "Jesus Saves" signs and hearing "Highway to Hell."
