Anne C underwent open heart surgery with two valve replacements and one valve reconstruction. Twenty-seven hours post-surgery, she experienced clinical death lasting over eight minutes. During her NDE, she traveled through an intensely black tunnel, the blackest black imaginable. Then a door opened revealing the most beautiful place with the most beautiful music she had ever experienced - she was certain it was angels singing. She felt incredible happiness and peace in this wonderful place. She was then pulled back through the door and tunnel, feeling a nurse's hand on her cheek saying she was trying to save her life. Anne responded "So who asked you," as she didn't want to return. The experience eliminated her fear of death, though she now fears she might not return to that wonderful place.
