Shelley experienced cardiac arrest during surgery on January 10, 2001. While on a gurney, she had an out-of-body experience where she viewed the scene from the side and above, observing several people including the surgeon working on her. She felt and knew she was dead but also knew it was okay.
She then passed through a void or tunnel, floating in complete darkness that was entirely peaceful. She experienced incredible feelings of complete grace, ecstasy, peace, love, and joy. The darkness itself was graceful, and she gained an all-knowing understanding of "what is" through feeling rather than words. She sensed presences but saw no specific beings. There was a feeling and knowing of no time or space during the experience. Following the operation, Shelley experienced a life review like a revolving slideshow showing emotional items from her life. She gained incredible knowledge and extremely heightened awareness of all things. Many psychic gifts were heightened or released, including feeling people's energy and colors (auras), understanding thoughts, seeing into other dimensions, and having heightened sensitivity to light and sound. Significantly, at age seventeen, Shelley had a previous experience with beings (guides) who showed her future world events, including 9/11, though she didn't understand it at the time since the Twin Towers hadn't been built yet. The vision's meaning became clear when the event actually occurred. About six weeks after surgery, she was guided to a local physician who specialized in NDEs and had experienced one herself. This doctor helped Shelley stay anchored and understand her experience. Shelley considers this the most wonderful experience of her life and feels grateful to have returned with knowledge about life and death to share with family and friends. --- Biblical Summary --- Biblical elements: The out-of-body experience aligns with biblical concepts of consciousness existing apart from the physical body.
