Peter D experienced an NDE on November 30, 2006, when a sinus infection triggered a seizure at school. He had been dizzy all day, with teachers asking if he wanted to go to the clinic, but he insisted he was fine. At lunch, while talking to friends Jeremy and Joe, everything went black after mentioning his teacher's offer to visit the clinic.
During the seizure, Peter experienced an out-of-body perspective. He could hear questions and see himself on the ground from another viewpoint. He observed them putting him in an ambulance from this external perspective. The experience was dreamlike with blurry vision, and he felt embarrassment and fear. After a blank period, he heard an unfamiliar voice calling his name and opened his eyes to find himself in an ambulance with oxygen hooked up. When he asked what happened, they told him he had a seizure.
