Phillip O experienced an NDE on October 30, 1996, after falling down an empty stairwell backwards. He landed over the lower corner of the floor, did a flip, and hit his head on a brick, losing consciousness for an unknown duration.
At the moment he realized nothing was under his foot, Phillip jumped out of his body, stayed on top, and watched his body at the bottom of the stairwell. He then went down and observed laborers and carpenters running up to him and standing around talking about him. When a bricklayer pushed him on the shoulder, he jumped back into his body. Significantly, he was lying face down facing away and could not have seen these events with his physical eyes. Phillip reports that he remains "half out of body" continuously since the experience, stating that people sense this difference in him although they don't understand what it is, and they fear it. He experiences no fear of what might be and has a sense of knowing. The experience left him with embarrassment and fear during the event, but also a lasting understanding about the universe and a unique psychic gift where people can feel when they are within the part of him that remains outside his body. --- Biblical Summary --- Biblical elements: The out-of-body experience aligns with biblical accounts of the spirit being distinct from the physical body.
