While trapped in the car, he felt no pain despite severe injuries. He experienced walking through a wide tunnel-like walkway connecting buildings, reaching the end where he saw people from waist up, all smiling and happy. He recognized his two grandfathers and his father who had died from Alzheimer's but now appeared healthy. Someone (likely his father) shook his hand in greeting. When he felt the need to return, the warm hand gently released as he floated backward. He also perceived a brown door with a porcelain doorknob against a black background, knowing God was behind it with bright light, and that this door is always available to everyone.
