Nora F had a brief NDE experience as a child while walking with her grandfather and two dogs on ice. After her grandfather successfully slid on his heels with the dogs, she attempted the same with one dog but fell hard on her back. Lying on the ice, she saw a very bright light and experienced her life flashing before her eyes. She felt peaceful during the experience. She then woke up on the sofa in her grandparents' house with her parents around her, talking and holding her hand. The experience was wonderful to her, featuring an unearthly light of mystical origin and bringing incredible peace. She experienced her past flashing before her out of her control and had visions from her personal future. She suddenly seemed to understand everything about the universe during the experience. Though brief, the experience felt real and significant to her. She acknowledges uncertainty about whether this was a true NDE or simply a result of being knocked unconscious, noting that the life review and bright light could have been related to the head injury.
