In November 2001, a woman was bitten three times on the arm by a Black Widow spider. Her husband found her not breathing and without a pulse. While lying on the sofa trying to breathe, she suddenly came out of her body, which terrified her. With eyes closed, she could see her husband doing dishes and their daughter in a highchair with a blue toy. Opening her eyes, she saw she was floating about 5 feet above the sofa. She began to pray seriously for the first time in years, admitting she had been "backsliding." As she prayed, she began spinning and encountered a wonderful, warm light of a violet/white/blue fluorescent color she had never seen before. She knew going with the light meant leaving Earth, so she cried and asked God for a second chance, knowing her husband and daughter couldn't bear to lose her. Before seeing the light, she experienced frightening shadow beings wrapping around her, which she feared meant she couldn't go to God. She also briefly saw her deceased grandparents, with her grandfather saying "Everything's going to be fine." The experience changed her life forever and brought her back to faith.
