Graham collapsed on a bus and could not be revived by his wife, a nurse, who performed resuscitation attempts including knuckle to sternum. He was unconscious for 7-10 minutes according to paramedics who found no abnormalities upon arrival. During his NDE, Graham was drawn to a joyous white light and traveled upward through a layer of personalities with comet-like tails. He entered a space where he was tended by silver, featureless beings with thin limbs and inverted conical heads who communicated telepathically. They told him he could stay if he wished, and though tempted by the ecstatic feeling, he chose to return. The white light remained in his peripheral vision for two hours after the event. Graham experienced overwhelming joy and a sense of understanding everything about the universe. The beings appeared to be 'servants' of the light. His subjective experience lasted about 30 minutes while objective time was 7-10 minutes.
