Francis McG suffered a severe car accident where his head bent the steering wheel in half, resulting in a fractured skull (part 3 lumbar fracture) and fractured back. During an 8-hour surgery, while conscious but unable to communicate, he experienced unbearable pain as surgeons sawed into his head. When the surgeon noted he wasn't deep enough under anesthesia, Francis's NDE began.
He saw a grey cloud form overhead with a huge hand reaching down to hold him. His deceased grandmother and Uncle John (dead 10-15 years) appeared, with his grandmother saying in Irish "A Gra, you will be fine." He then floated out of his body and observed the surgery, seeing calipers on his head and his flesh pulled down. He heard a surgeon say, "It's such a shame, so young for all this to happen." He tried to interact with them but couldn't be heard. After being pulled into a void, he was taunted by dark entities trying to convince him to join them. Two beings of light rescued him, taking him through a colorful tunnel to meet a being of light who showed him his life review, including seeing his girlfriend's hidden pain. He was shown armies of angels fighting darkness, a city in silver and gray, and prayers from Earth appearing as an inferno of light. The being of light told him his time wasn't up and sent him back for himself, with Francis promising to spread the message of love. He awoke from a two-month coma blind and in a wheelchair but completely accepting of his condition. His vision eventually returned, and he regained the use of his legs. Twenty years later, he used his experience to comfort his dying father, telling him exactly what to expect. --- Biblical Summary --- Biblical elements: This experience contains numerous biblical elements including angels as beings of light (Hebrews 1:14), the life review similar to judgment scenes, armies of angels fighting spiritual warfare (Ephesians 6:12), and prayers ascending from Earth (Revelation 8:3-4).
