Erick experienced severe head and body pain for a week, becoming so intense he could not speak or hear. On October 3, 2005, approximately 10 PM, three hours after calling his family together, a doctor administered a serum injection. His pulse accelerated and body convulsed, leaving him unable to move. He then found himself observing his body from above, with his family gathered around the bed. His family later confirmed he was without vital signs during this time.
The experience transported him to a dark place without borders where the pain completely disappeared. He felt incredibly light, unable to feel himself walking. He observed ten to twelve shadowy figures approaching him with a glow around them, and behind them was the reflection of a light. The entire experience was characterized by an absence of physical limitations and complete relief from his severe pain. His most significant veridical observation was seeing his own body lying on the bed with his family around him, viewing the scene from an elevated perspective outside his physical form.
