Bobby H, a 40-year-old fisherman from Alaska, experienced a severe leptospirosis infection after skinning dead snakes in Key West. On May 28, 2000, he was admitted to a Seattle hospital where he died twice on the operating table and was shocked back to life. During his clinical death, Bobby found himself sitting in a 12-15 foot crater next to a man who looked like Anthony Quinn in 'Zorba the Greek.' A burnt truck covered the top of the crater with light visible around the edges. The being told him "You're going to be okay" during his first death, and when he died the second time and returned to the same scene, the being said "Look I told you you're going to be okay."
After coming out of a coma on June 3, 2000 (his 40th birthday), medical staff tried to get him to sign papers for liver and kidney transplants as his organs had failed. Bobby refused, insisting he would be okay based on what he was told during his NDE. His mother and sister supported his decision despite doctors saying he would need dialysis for life. Against all medical expectations, Bobby recovered without transplants or dialysis. By August 2000, he had recovered enough to return to Key West, and by September 2001, he was back fishing at sea for another year. --- Biblical Summary --- Biblical elements: The experience contains several elements consistent with biblical accounts of divine encounters.
