On October 16, 2001, Raylene S was viciously attacked by her ex-husband who beat her for five hours straight, knocking her unconscious at least three times from head injuries. Previously suicidal and praying for her deceased father to take her to heaven, she begged her attacker to kill her. Near the end of the attack while lying on the floor, she called for help three times with her voice growing softer until it became a whisper. She then felt numbness spread from her head to her feet as she left her body.
During her out-of-body experience, Raylene floated above her body, staring down at herself lying on the floor for what seemed like a long time. She was surrounded by bright fluorescent-like light and felt overwhelming peace. While looking at herself, she thought "look at what a disgrace I have become." She then heard her deceased father's voice behind her (though she didn't see him) telling her it wasn't her time and showing her what she would leave her children to face. She saw her oldest child sitting against his bedroom door. After returning to her body, Raylene inexplicably got up, calmly told her attacker she needed to go to the hospital, and despite temporary paralysis and continued beating, managed to drive herself to the emergency room where she collapsed. The experience took two weeks to fully remember, coming back in puzzle pieces. She gained an incredible learning speed afterward and maintains a different perspective on life and relationships, becoming remarkably easy-going. --- Biblical Summary --- Biblical elements: Raylene's out-of-body experience aligns with biblical accounts of soul-body separation.
