Patrick experienced two NDEs. First incident (1986): A steel bar penetrated his cheek and brain, nearly exiting through his skull. He found himself looking down at his body in fetal position while experiencing beautiful light. Second incident (1994): While loading vehicles, his head was crushed between equipment. In the hospital, as doctors stitched him, he had an OBE and was clinically dead for 5 minutes. He went to the light and observed himself bleeding with his arm nearly severed. He accurately described to the doctor what each nurse did during resuscitation, though the doctor couldn't understand how he knew this while dead. Both experiences featured the most beautiful light he had ever seen in his 56 years.
