At age three, Marietta fell backwards from a hayloft onto cement, landing on her head and neck. She immediately left her body and observed from above as her siblings rushed to help her. She felt no pain while out of body, describing herself as feeling like an angel. She was aware of a loving presence holding her, someone who loved her even more than her family. This presence was identified as Jesus, who told her He would always be with her and would show her things throughout her life. She experienced profound peace and happiness during the OBE. Upon returning to her body, she felt pain. The experience gave her lifelong awareness of Jesus's presence and various psychic gifts including premonitions and knowledge of when people need help.
