Eve was the passenger in a severe car accident on May 25, 2001, found in a nine-foot embankment. An older man discovered the vehicle and called emergency services. After hours of extraction work, paramedics initially wanted to pronounce her dead, but the witness refused to let them stop. She experienced internal organ failure and entered a coma-like state. During her unconscious period, she underwent a life review showing both positive and negative events from her past. She initially believed she was dying and experienced a hellish state of knowing she couldn't wake up.
At one point, she had a veridical experience where she saw herself in the morgue, then awakened in her hospital room. When she described the morgue to her nurse, the nurse was frightened because Eve described it perfectly despite never having been there physically.
