Six-year-old Scott's near-death experience began during a family outing for ice cream when he moved into the path of an oncoming car. His mother lunged but missed by feet as the car slammed into him, throwing his small body into three complete somersaults twenty-five feet up the street. He recalls closing his eyes before impact, feeling punched by the vehicle, landing on pavement and losing consciousness. Hospitalized and kept in medically induced coma while treated for injuries, this high-impact collision requiring significant intervention established clear life-threatening trigger. His consciousness immediately shifted to external vantage point in nearby tree watching the accident scene unfold, observing chaos and family reactions with strange detachment, noting nobody could hear him speak. He attempted to hug his father only to have him pass right through his non-physical form. From this veridical phase, his experience transitioned to deeper otherworldly journey through dark windy tunnel where he had terrifying encounter with being he identified as the Devil - not stereotypical horned demon but large glob of rotting flesh that shouted at him, called him bad, tried preventing him from leaving, filling boy with extreme fear. Yet faith that God would protect him persisted. Scene shifted to room where he met deceased uncle who died two years prior from cancer, still covered by sheet Scott remembered from deathbed, who recognized him and reassured him telepathically he would be all right. He was escorted through dark open space toward brilliant light brighter than sun but didn't hurt eyes, which he felt was God in whose presence he felt completely safe. Within light were other presences clear and bright like angels on Christmas tree but without wings or halos. Journey concluded in a dungeon - not frightening but safe room without doors or windows where good beings protected him from Devil. While observing accident from out-of-body perspective, he recalls shouting to older brother Graham to play with him - crucial corroboration came when Graham later told parents at time of accident he clearly heard Scott's voice calling while Scott lay unconscious, providing strong evidence of perceivable real-world effect from out-of-body consciousness. Afterward Scott was plagued by nightmares of Devil encounter for months, becoming powerful motivator for spiritual change and effort to become closer to God, with enhanced empathy and sensitivity to others' feelings.
