In 1975, Ricky Bradshaw suffered catastrophic trauma while loading groceries when he was caught between two vehicles backing into each other, the immense force literally grinding his torso in half with only his spine and surrounding cords connecting upper and lower body portions. His awareness was then drawn into a realm of brilliant all-encompassing light accompanied by loving disembodied voices where he was given panoramic complete view of all history from beginning to end, infusing him with universal knowledge and perspective. The pivotal veridical moment occurred when the heart monitor students had connected began registering beeps - their initial disbelief assuming malfunction directly corroborates the reality of what Ricky observed. Their decision to seek a physician transformed high jinks into full medical emergency.
