Jamie Unin, a young girl, had a fulminating bacterial meningitis with approximately 95% mortality rate at the time she presented. Very few survived this type of meningitis. During her cardiac arrest and resuscitation, she observed the medical team working on her. When interviewed by Dr. Melvin Morse, she accurately drew the exact position of his partner's hands in the perfect American Heart Association bent position while pushing on her chest. She mentioned several other correct details of her own resuscitation.
She reported talking to Jesus, who was sitting on a log. Jesus told her it was not her time to die yet and revealed that her mother would have a son with a heart defect, and she needed to go back to help her mother with her new brother to be. This prophecy was entirely unknown to the family at the time but proved completely accurate - the mother later got pregnant and had a son with a heart defect. She also saw angels and a door, but when asked what the door was for, she simply said she didn't know. The veridical observations included accurate depiction of CPR hand positioning according to medical standards, correct details of resuscitation procedures witnessed while clinically dead, and prophetic knowledge about a future sibling's heart condition that was later confirmed. Dr. Morse noted her pure, innocent account without embellishment as typical of children's NDEs.
