Tessa Romero experienced cardiac arrest during surgery, resulting in 24 minutes of clinical death while doctors worked to revive her. She observed her body on the operating table from above, noting how peaceful she looked. She urged the doctors not to bring her back and visited her sister and mother before being shot upward by a powerful invisible force into a vast space.
She encountered a bright light with a deceased friend emerging from it, wearing the green hospital gown she died in. Behind her friend was an imposing white wall of almost blinding light. Her friend asked what she was doing there and told her to go back. Tessa approached the Light and was embraced by what she identified as the Universal Force of Love. She gained 360-degree vision and saw several beings emerging from the loving, peaceful White Light. On the other side, she was shown someone about to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff. Her spirit merged with his, feeling his profound pain. Her spiritual guide told her she could either return to help him or stay in heaven. She felt an immense unknown power within and knew she had to return as her mission. After returning, she experienced a complete transformation, with all traces of her previous illness disappearing. She began voluntary work in hospitals and hospices, helping terminally ill patients prepare for death.
