David was nine years old and playing superman when he thought he could fly and jumped off a roof. He was unconscious for an unknown period - possibly minutes to half an hour. During this time, he had a profound near-death experience that would remain vivid for decades.
While unconscious, David felt himself being drawn upward through darkness toward a bright light. He had no sense of his physical body, only awareness of his mind. For what seemed like a long time, he had mental communication with an unseen presence who told him it wasn't his time. David wondered if he would see his family again and if he would return to this place, but received no answer to those questions. The presence gave David two specific prophetic messages: "Your son will save you" and that his son would be a great leader. The first prophecy was fulfilled in January 2004 when his son did indeed save him, though the second about leadership had not yet occurred at the time of his report. Throughout the experience, David felt an overwhelming sense of peace and love that he describes as the most wonderful feeling. David kept this experience secret for 25 years, not even telling his wife until after reading Dr. Raymond Moody's book "Life After Life." When he finally shared it in 2004, it was because the first prophecy had been fulfilled.
