Peggy suffered a potentially fatal compound skull fracture in a Christmas morning car accident in Dallas. Though she didn't recall an NDE initially, she had puzzling memories of seeing her body and being in an ambulance. The experience transformed her completely - she excelled in previously difficult subjects like chemistry and biology, learning with extraordinary depth of understanding and insatiable joy. Her social life changed as she could no longer relate to her previous party lifestyle.
Thirteen years later in 1986, while traveling to Dallas in a van, Peggy was overcome by empathic sorrow from song lyrics. Her heart began racing intensely and she found herself in complete blackness, feeling peaceful and ecstatic. A small bright light approached and grew to surround her with brilliantly intense blue-white illumination multiplied by 10,000. She instantly knew this living light being was God, genderless, with intelligence beyond comprehension. The light communicated sophisticated messages showing her the world is an illusion, with material things being props for souls. In this state, Peggy experienced having 125 senses instead of five, with ability to think multiple complex thoughts simultaneously with complete comprehension. She learned time is illusion, that horrific events have inner meaning beyond human understanding, and experienced the perfection of all creation. Most profoundly, she discovered everything is literally Love - not just human emotion but the substance of everything. The light demonstrated that all people are loved equally and unconditionally regardless of beliefs or actions. The light switched on a current of pure concentrated unconditional love so powerful it exceeded earthly love by a million-fold. While feeling unworthy, Peggy experienced being loved completely while sobbing deeply. For moments she became totally one with the light, experiencing absolute perfection and becoming everything simultaneously. The light revealed everyone has an "assignment of love" programmed at birth - the very things we love most are our purpose. Her assignment involved singing, which the light encouraged her to pursue.
