Christine fell asleep while driving at approximately 7:00 AM, causing her car to leave the road. When she attempted to correct, she over-corrected and hit a tree, being thrown twenty feet from the vehicle. Her injuries were severe and life-threatening: five fractured vertebrae in her back, one fractured vertebra in her neck, broken right femur, broken left tibia/fibula with smashed ankle, two broken scapulas, nine broken ribs, and most critically, a torn-open right shoulder bleeding profusely. She lost pulse and blood pressure due to massive blood loss.
During her near-death state, Christine saw her father who had passed away in June 2002. He appeared above her, looking down with a bright light surrounding and emanating from him - he was glowing. He spoke directly to her, saying "Not now little one, we need you here." She felt incredibly safe and deeply loved in his presence.
