Three-and-a-half-year-old Laura suffered fatal trauma from severe child abuse by her intoxicated father. At the peak of unbearable pain, she cried out to God and felt herself torn from life. Angels in multicolored robes immediately lifted her up, carrying her higher into the sky until they reached a realm where formless space gave way to cloud-like masses where other angels floated. They placed her at the feet of a radiating female angel whose love was more powerful than all others, who asked Laura to tell her story.
Before Laura could fully respond, God appeared as a massive column of golden light with a suggestion of human form inside. She was engulfed in all-powerful, all-nourishing divine love, feeling as if in a warm healing bath of light. In those infinite moments, she acquired knowledge that would allow her to complete her earthly life. This encounter with the divine presence provided complete healing and protection, though no verbal conversation occurred. A remarkable battle then ensued between the angels in heaven and doctors on earth for Laura's life. Each time doctors performed chest compressions, her spirit was pulled back into her body momentarily, only to be pulled out again by angels holding her feet. This tug-of-war continued with Laura experiencing the dual sensations of earthly resuscitation efforts and heavenly beings trying to keep her. Finally, after one last compression, she heard an angel say "They're stronger than we are," and she was pulled back into her body, sat up, screamed, and lost consciousness. Laura survived but was left with a persistent feeling of incompleteness, sensing she had unfinished business in the spiritual realm, keeping her perpetually half in the other world while living her earthly life.
