Jeff Olsen experienced a horrific rollover car accident where his SUV rolled seven or eight times on the freeway. Following the crash, he felt himself slip out of his body and was immediately encircled with bright-white light energized with pure, unconditional love. He felt calm and free of pain. He then felt a familiar touch and opened his eyes to see his wife Tamara next to him. She was tangible and alive, though crying and upset. He realized he was in a protective bubble and this experience was "far more real, far more tangible, and far more alive than anything I had ever known."
Tamara insisted he couldn't stay and had to go back. He wanted to remain with her and wondered where their sons Spencer and Griffin were. He pulled Tamara close, feeling her wet tears, smelling her hair with senses tenfold what he had experienced before, and kissed her. Though he felt he had a choice, something deep within knew he had to return to Spencer. After telling Tamara he loved her but had to go, which she acknowledged she understood, he found himself back in the crashed SUV hearing Spencer crying. He then learned Tamara and baby Griffin had died in the accident. Months later during a low point in recovery, Jeff had another near-death experience. He found himself in a beautiful, vast place where he had not five but fifty senses. Walking on two healthy legs down a long hallway, he found a baby crib at the end containing his son Griffin, alive and sleeping peacefully. He swept Griffin into his arms, feeling his warmth, breath, and the smell of his hair. A powerful loving being moved up behind him, engulfing him in light and love. He realized that instead of having his wife and son ripped away, he was being given the chance to hand them over to God in peace and gratitude. Understanding the divine order of everything, he hugged Griffin one last time and willingly laid him back in the crib, at peace knowing Griffin was alive in a place more real than earth.
