Pegi Robinson was five years old when she drowned in a pond after her older brother John took her makeshift raft board and left her to struggle in the deep water. She desperately fought to stay above the muddy brown water, repeatedly being pulled under in the disorienting murkiness, unable to see or find direction as she was dragged deeper.
During her struggle, Pegi suddenly found herself at the ceiling of her family's kitchen, looking down at her mother and sister preparing picnic items, feeling their thoughts and concentration. She was then back drowning until she "woke up" to find the water now transparent green and shiny, feeling completely fine and rested. She observed fish swimming past her body at the pond bottom, bumping into her like driftwood, and realized she was dead when the fish showed no fear. Rising above the water to treetop height, Pegi could see across Route 7 to the Ohio River and local train tracks. She visited a two-story house where elderly people at a kitchen table told her to "check the graveyards" when she asked about children to play with. She observed her mother and sister's mature conversation with envy, and felt intense anger at her brother for causing her death. After being rescued by her brother and revived, she was given divine knowledge that her family didn't love her but that "children are sent here to be loved." An angel appeared to stop her from returning to drown herself, promising she would "have a lot of love someday." This shaped her life mission - she later fostered 60 children, adopted 10, had 2 biological children, adopted her nephew, gained 2 stepdaughters, and adopted two sibling groups (5 and 4 children). She worked in children's services and became known for her gift in investigations. She now hosts the popular NDE TV YouTube podcast.
