Loreli Drache was seven years old when she drowned in a deep pond created from a flooded quarry on her family's Wisconsin farm. While on a pier gazing at the sunset reflecting on the water, she felt drawn into the water and fell in after her aunt left to check on others. She sank feet-first, screaming underwater and watching her air escape as bubbles.
Upon accepting death, Loreli experienced profound peace as her consciousness separated from her body. From above, she could perceive not only her drowning body but also read the thoughts and feelings of her family members discovering her situation. She knew her brother's dilemma about swimming versus running for help, her uncle's shock and blame toward her aunt, and her aunt's desperate calculations about rescuing her despite not knowing how to swim. She found their panic humorous from her peaceful vantage point. Rising higher, Loreli could see for miles and checked on her mother's consciousness at home, finding her cooking and wondering when they would return. She then found herself in a misty, cloud-like realm with a guide presence to her left. She saw a massive archway of brilliant white light transitioning to amber, containing a being she argued with "for eons" about returning. A deep, authoritative male voice finally commanded: "You must go back. You have more to do." After rescue, Loreli didn't speak for a day and felt disconnected from her body for about a year. She developed heightened psychic sensitivity, prophetic dreams, and could sense when people were about to die (appearing waxy to her). She predicted her children's souls and genders up to a year before conception. Her mother advocated for her experiences. Loreli now manages IANDS groups and works as a Reiki master and "remembrance guide."
