Ingrid Honkala drowned at age two in a large water tank in her backyard in Colombia while playing with her three-year-old sister. The housemaid was in her room listening to radio, unaware of the accident. After falling in and sinking, Ingrid saw a bright light at the bottom of the water and experienced immediate calm. She left her body and began an extraordinary out-of-body journey.
During her OBE, Ingrid telepathically contacted her mother who was walking to catch a bus 10 minutes away. Her mother immediately sensed something was wrong with one of her children and ran home, going directly to the tank where she found Ingrid and performed CPR. Ingrid observed this from outside her body, also visiting the maid's room and various locations, experiencing teleportation and a profound oneness with everything. The transformation following her NDE was remarkable. Before age three, she could read, write, solve complex math problems, complete difficult puzzles, and paint. She developed ongoing communication with "beings of light" who became her guides, experienced frequent OBEs, saw spirits, and had precognitive visions by age four. Her previously poor health improved dramatically overnight. She initially rejected her identity, calling herself "Jeff" and crying when seeing her reflection. Ingrid grew up to become a marine biologist, oceanographer, and NASA scientist. She credits her genius-level abilities and career path to her NDE at age two. Her mother validated her experiences with the beings of light, revealing she also had psychic abilities. The beings told Ingrid her NDE happened young so she could remember but wasn't yet culturally conditioned.
