In his NDE state, Anthony encountered his deceased Uncle Neil, who had been killed two years earlier in World War II when a bomber crashed into his barracks in Great Britain. The uncle appeared to Anthony and communicated telepathically, passing on extensive knowledge about the future. This included information about cures for mental and physical illnesses and the remarkable prediction that humans would one day walk on the moon - an event that would not occur for another 24 years. The experience had lasting effects on Anthony's cognitive abilities. Following his NDE, he demonstrated exceptional scientific knowledge, particularly in chemistry, without any formal education in the subject. His understanding was so advanced that in high school, his chemistry teacher allowed him to teach the class. He also developed psychic sensitivities that persisted into adulthood, including spontaneous awareness of distant tragic events. Anthony kept this experience secret for decades at his father's request, only sharing it publicly in the 1990s when he met NDE researcher PMH Atwater.
