Margaret, 67 years old, was visiting her dying son-in-law with terminal cancer at a large Atlanta hospital. Emotionally and physically drained one night, she left his room and went to the hospital lobby to collect her thoughts. Her daughter followed and found her with her head bowed in her hands as if praying. Margaret suddenly lurched forward fully unconscious on the lobby floor.
A Code Blue was called by an alert passerby, and pandemonium erupted. Doctors and nurses flooded the scene, angrily yelling for medical equipment and drugs that weren't immediately available. In the midst of chaos, Margaret was resuscitated and transported unconscious to the coronary care unit. However, she recalled a completely different scene from what was happening around her. During her unconscious state, Margaret experienced being in heaven, which she described as "so pretty." She saw Jesus with beautiful, gorgeous hair - all that hair standing there in long hair and white robes. Angels were all around. She saw children and was looking for her grandmother, who was more precious to her than gold, but couldn't find her. She saw pretty steps and was walking up them, wanting to go further. The Lord was standing on the steps waiting for her but wouldn't let her pass. He said "There's no room now," which upset Margaret as she wanted to stay. She wanted to go into heaven but was prevented. Years earlier, she had experienced two strokes and was told she would never walk again. One night while praying for help, the Lord appeared on her footboard with her room lighting up, saying "Don't worry, everything is going to be all right, my child." She subsequently made a full recovery from the strokes.
