Aussie Q experienced an NDE in late 1991 when prescribed medication caused a severe allergic reaction. She collapsed at home while a visitor was present, who called an ambulance when she appeared grey in the face.
During the medical crisis, Aussie experienced a remarkable panoramic life review that appeared in her mind from left to right "like an IMAX movie." She witnessed all the important moments of her life up to that point, with the experience occurring at incredible speed with everything happening at once. Many of the earlier life moments that appeared were events she had long forgotten until the NDE brought them back to consciousness. The review specifically showed the most significant events from age two or three through to the present moment. Throughout the experience, she maintained heightened awareness and could hear everything around her, including her visitor panicking, though she herself felt calm and peaceful rather than worried. Her thoughts moved incredibly fast during the panoramic playback. The life review experience felt more real than ordinary life and permanently changed her perspective on life. She awoke at the hospital where medical staff confirmed she had suffered a severe allergic reaction to the prescribed medication.
