Five-year-old Tamara Caulder Richardson developed pneumonia after strep throat, with a fever of 103.9°F. Her mother attempted to reduce the fever with an ice bath before driving her to Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. During the drive, Tamara became unresponsive and was declared dead on arrival. She remained clinically dead for 15 minutes initially and was ultimately dead for two hours total before being resuscitated. Her organs were shutting down and she was placed in an induced coma for three days.
During her extended NDE, Tamara left her body and flew 200 feet above the car, checking on her crying mother multiple times. At the hospital, she observed eight of twelve people working on her body, watching them insert tubes and pump fluid from her lungs. She then explored the hospital as a spirit, moving "fast as a bullet," visiting different rooms and trying to help people like an angel. She telepathically encouraged a woman giving birth and encountered a living girl in a brownie uniform who could see her near a candy machine. Tamara then found herself in a beautiful meadow where Jesus appeared, kneeling beside her. He had wavy brown hair with golden highlights, light eyes that shifted between blue and green, olive skin with a divine glow, and perfect feet. When Jesus said she had to return, she protested. He wrapped his robe belt around her wrist like a friendship bracelet, saying "I wrap you in my love, protection, and wisdom. Much is given, and much you'll give." He explained she must return to teach her mother about love and gave her a specific mission to show people how to love one another and that Jesus is real. For three days in the induced coma, Tamara stayed in heaven with Jesus, swimming in a pond where she could breathe underwater, while Jesus sat with his feet in the water. She manifested experiences instantly through thought, learning about the power of positive thinking and words. Despite having no brain damage after two hours dead, she made a miraculous complete recovery. She developed the ability to bring others into the presence of Jesus's love and has had six total NDEs, becoming the Southern Belle Medium with abilities including xenoglossy and transfiguration.
