Diane experienced two major near-death events. Ten years earlier, during a severe car accident requiring prolonged extrication, she stood outside her mangled vehicle watching rescue workers struggle to intubate her. She was not breathing and had a severe head injury. She heard a rescuer plead "Come on, lady, don't you die on us" while working to save her. Two large, luminous beings approached her, seven to eight feet tall and intensely bright, exuding overwhelming love and peace. They assured her through thought that she wasn't going to die.
Following this experience, Diane developed remarkable intuitive abilities. She knew what nurses would say before they spoke, when visitors were coming before being told, and even predicted her own medical tests. She told her aunt was coming to visit before the surprise was revealed. When an MRI was ordered, she had already refused lunch knowing the test would occur, despite staff being unaware. Her family was disturbed by these abilities, considering them potentially sinister, creating a painful rift in relationships. Years later, Diane experienced a massive heart attack with cardiac arrest. She had prophetic dreams weeks before of falling through her hospital bed into darkness, sometimes caught by loving hands. Two days before the event, she knew it would happen. During multiple resuscitations, she observed from outside her body, seeing CPR, defibrillation, and procedures in complete silence. She was accompanied by bright, loving beings who assured her she would survive. She encountered her deceased mother and was told she couldn't stay, that she needed to return because it was "not an act of escape but an act of completion." The beings explained she and her family still had lessons to learn from each other. Despite wanting to stay with her mother, she was sent back to complete her purpose.
