Marlene, a young Native American mother, suffered amniotic fluid embolism during childbirth causing prolonged cardiac arrest. After nearly an hour of unsuccessful resuscitation, she was pronounced dead. Minutes later, her heart spontaneously restarted. During her death, she experienced floating to the corner of the delivery room after feeling a warm wave. A soft blue orb of light approached her, overwhelming her with feelings of peace, love and safety.
Rising through the hospital structure, she paused in another patient's room where she observed a man eating while a woman read a magazine. She perceived vivid flower colors with vibrating particles and palpable humming energy. On the roof, she saw detailed tar patching and pebbled surface with three-dimensional effects. She developed ability to hear sounds by looking at objects - hearing blinkers and footsteps from great distances when visually focused on them. After rapid travel over ocean and wheat fields that she could smell and feel, she encountered deceased relatives including her grandmother, mother, uncle, and surprisingly a neighbor she had helped. Her mother said "You can't stay" and showed her a future grandchild named Crystal who would be "special" and need her, implying the child would have disabilities. Marlene was told she was allowed to come to learn and perceive differently. Twenty-one years later, her daughter had a girl named Crystal with autism. At age four, Crystal spontaneously told Marlene "I saw you before, Grammy, when you died and came to Heaven. Remember? You were sad you had to go back." This impossible knowledge validated Marlene's experience as genuinely transcendent.
