Between sixth and seventh grade, a young person was waterskiing double with another person when they fell forward and the rope wrapped around their arm. The rope cut through skin and muscle all the way to the bone, causing intense pain and unconsciousness. The boat driver, unaware of the entanglement, continued at full power, dragging the victim underwater for approximately thirty seconds. During this time, the victim went into shock from blood loss and pain. The individual experienced leaving their physical body and losing all pain sensation. Despite water rushing past, they felt nothing physical. They were wrapped in a warm light and separated from their body, able to briefly see themselves speeding along underwater, bleeding from the arm, without any concern. A life review occurred where the person saw their accomplishments and felt glad about their life experiences. They accepted impending death peacefully, experiencing the most peaceful feeling ever felt. When the boat driver finally stopped, the victim surfaced due to wearing a life preserver. Reality returned with intense pain. They were rushed to the hospital and remained in shock for eight hours, nearly dying from blood loss according to doctors.
