Loni had undiagnosed Lyme disease for over a year, which attacked her heart and caused it to stop suddenly while on a trip. This cardiac arrest from Lyme disease is a known but uncommon complication that can be fatal. She found herself in a life-threatening medical emergency requiring immediate intervention.
During her NDE, Loni asked God directly, "What are we? How are we judged?" In response, God showed her an extraordinary vision of interwoven golden threads that made her "her," but she didn't exist alone. This vision revealed both human divine nature and moral accountability, showing that while we are part of God's creation, we have genuine agency in our choices between light and darkness. The tapestry metaphor powerfully illustrated humanity's interconnectedness, divine origin, moral freedom, and ultimate accountability to God who sees all. Loni received direct answers to fundamental questions about human nature and divine judgment through vivid visual revelation.
