Kim was in nursing school when she was riding an off-road motorcycle that crashed into a concrete flood-control channel. The impact was severe enough to cause life-threatening injuries. She was presumably rendered unconscious from the traumatic accident and required emergency medical care.
During her NDE, Kim found herself inside a black void with a sense of floating in complete silence and stillness. Initially, she felt panicked and afraid, knowing that she was dead. She thought of all the things she wouldn't be able to attain including graduation, career, marriage, and children, feeling surprised that she had died so young. However, once she noticed the profound stillness and peace, she became happy and intrigued. She expected Jesus would come to take her. Then an unearthly white light appeared, and she heard a voice in her head that she knew was God. She felt profound peace and love from this presence. God told her that her time on earth wasn't done yet and she needed to go back. Kim pleaded to stay, expressing that she was fine with being dead and didn't want to return. Despite her protests, God firmly stated, "No, you must go." The divine authority was absolute yet delivered with love. The experience transformed Kim's initial fear of death into acceptance and even desire to remain in the peaceful divine presence. Her encounter with God was characterized by direct telepathic communication, overwhelming peace and love, and ultimately submission to God's will despite her personal preference to stay.
