Bella experienced a near-fatal water-skiing accident three months and twelve days before her twenty-fourth birthday. Remarkably, she had been told in a childhood dream at age six, seven, or eight that she would have an opportunity to live or die before turning twenty-four. The accident triggered a profound near-death experience with significant spiritual insights.
During her NDE, Bella felt herself become "part of the whole" completeness, totally immersed in the totality of everything. She felt in the presence of God and experienced being surrounded by tremendous white light accompanied by unbelievable peace, love, harmony, and goodness. She sensed goodness all around her and then perceived a question being asked about whether she was ready to die. She experienced internal conflict about this decision. In a vision, she saw her own grave with her two children standing next to their father, crying. This vision made her realize she couldn't leave her children, influencing her decision to return. Bella's soul recognized an entity as God, and she became part of a great white light. She sensed many entities filled with love, goodness, and peace. She struggled to find words to describe the "Oneness-with-All" state of being that she entered. She gained the understanding that each soul is connected, each has a specific purpose, and each person is meant to perfect skills required to fulfill their soul's purpose. The experience profoundly affected Bella's life in positive ways, teaching her humility and confirming God's existence and the fact that all humans are part of one Whole. She came to understand the interconnectedness of all souls and the purposeful nature of each individual's existence within the greater divine plan.
