Andy had just graduated high school and went swimming in a cold lake when he developed severe muscle cramps and began drowning. He sank deeper into darkness as the sunlight faded, experiencing unbearable pain throughout his frozen muscles. His arms felt frozen in place and he could not swim up.
Upon losing consciousness, Andy was instantly drawn toward an extraordinarily bright light that radiated warmth, brightness and perfect love. As he approached and was absorbed by its brilliance, he realized he had become one with the light. He saw a massive human silhouette radiating with the brightness of thousands of suns. This being, which he had never seen before but recognized immediately, spoke to him saying "Andy, don't be afraid. Andy, I love you. Andy, we love you." The Light knew his name personally. Surrounding this central Light form were millions of other lights welcoming him home. Andy recognized them all and they knew him - they were all pieces of the same Light. He felt he was everywhere and in one place simultaneously, maintaining his identity as Andy while also being infinite, warm, and loving Light. The Light being had a beautiful smile Andy recognized, and they communicated telepathically, talking and laughing together. Andy became aware that the Light had answers to all questions in the universe, but he had no questions because he already knew everything the Light knew. The Light knew everything Andy had ever done or would do but loved him unconditionally. There was no fear, judgment, punishment, or shame - only warmth, peace, joy, happiness, forgiveness and love. When the Light told Andy he must go back, he initially refused, saying he was never going back, but the Light insisted. Andy was eventually resuscitated and recovered. He now believes "We are all One in the Light with God" and that this universal connection demonstrates God's love extends to everyone, not just individuals.
