Gerald A. Johnson, lead pastor of Faith Culture Church in Austin, Texas, woke in the night with sharp chest pains in February 2016. He started praying but then died of a heart attack. He floated out of his body believing he was heading toward heaven when he was suddenly pulled into hell. He heard people screaming in agony all around him and landed in hell where he could feel heat but saw no fire.
In hell, he saw a naked man on hands and knees with a chain around his neck being led by a demon. He knew telepathically that this demon had been assigned to that man's life on Earth. The demon's agenda was to stay in the man's life, keep him bound, and ultimately have him as a slave in the afterlife - which is exactly what happened. The man was now the demon's eternal slave. Johnson saw another section where music was playing - the same music played on Earth but sung by demons. Every lyric that was meant to help on Earth did the opposite in hell. If music was meant to help someone get over a breakup, in hell it would torment them about that relationship eternally. After experiencing this demonic music, he returned to his body. Jesus then spoke to him about his own sins. He had been badly hurt years earlier and had been secretly hoping God would hurt those who hurt him. Johnson learned that "unforgiveness is a big deal." His NDE changed him forever, making him realize even pastors can go to hell for unforgiveness.
