Vicki S fell 10 feet through a skylight while trimming hedges on a garage roof, landing on concrete and hitting her head. She experienced seeing herself as a crumpled body below from a presence looking down from the ceiling corner. She then was back in her body but aware of a disjunction between body and mind/soul, with her body in spasm from neck down with no feeling while limbs flailed. The normal seamless synchronization between body and soul had been broken, exposing two distinct constituents of her being. This out-of-sync moment was replaced by seamless consciousness returning. Medical examination revealed no broken bones or internal damage, only head hematoma and spinal cord bruising. The separation of body and life essence while still living has stayed with her as the strongest feeling.
