David Wallace had his fourth NDE in 2010 during triple bypass and mitral valve surgery for congestive heart failure. During the seven-hour surgery with complications, his heart stopped and couldn't be restarted initially. David found himself floating above the operating room, watching the team using defibrillator paddles repeatedly on his body. His ancestral guardian Kupuna appeared and pulled him away to a spiritual waiting room he had visited in a childhood NDE. Three large Hawaiian men protected him from malevolent entities trying to claim his soul. Kupuna told him to use "spiritual eyes" to see the entities' true hideous nature. David was told his body was in serious trouble and they were protecting him until his fate was clear. When he awoke, circular burn marks covered his ribs on both sides and back - evidence of the defibrillation attempts. A nurse relative later confirmed these marks were from attempts to restart his heart after it stopped during surgery. Earlier at age 25, David had an NDE from double pneumonia where his deceased friend Bruce appeared in his bedroom. Bruce showed him a tunnel through his closet leading to a realm where deceased relatives and pets greeted him. His grandfather shook his head, indicating it wasn't David's time. When David awoke, his fever had broken and the clothes in the closet were pushed aside as Bruce had done. Both experiences provided physical verification - the defibrillator burns and the moved clothing - confirming observations made while clinically dead.
