Margaret Fields Kean was rushed to the hospital with severe phlebitis and died on the operating table during emergency surgery. During her death experience, she found herself in a colorful, lovely world where only peace and unconditional love existed. While in this transcendent realm, she sensed she had an important choice to make and contemplated where she could best be of service. She determined that becoming a healer once back in her human body would be the most beneficial path. In that moment of decision, she instantly knew everything, including understanding why she had a daughter and recognizing the importance of living to finish raising her. A divine Light appeared to her, which she immediately recognized as God. She anchored this Light in her spirit and soul and accepted her mission of healing.
After being successfully resuscitated and while still in the recovery room, she became aware of a young man nearby who was in great pain. Despite her own condition, she spoke softly to him, soothing him until he fell asleep. She then experienced what she described as "projecting" her consciousness into a shuttered isolation room where a white boy, charred black by severe burns, lay dying. She sat on his bed in this projected state, introduced herself by name as Margaret Fields Kean, and counseled him about his purpose in life. She told him it was acceptable if he chose to die, for God was loving and he had nothing to fear. Months later, while continuing her recovery as an outpatient and still experiencing pain, Fields Kean attended a horse show where her daughter won an event. When the loudspeaker announced her daughter's name as a winner, a couple approached her, having recognized the name. They revealed they were the parents of the severely burned boy she had visited. Before their son died, he had told them about meeting Margaret Fields Kean and relayed all the wonderful truths she had shared about God and life. The boy had identified her by her full name, describing their conversation in detail. The remarkable verification is that the two had never physically met or verbally spoken in any conventional manner. No nurse was aware of any communication between them. It would have been impossible for her to know the isolation room was occupied, and equally impossible for the dying boy to know her name. Yet the parents confirmed their son's detailed account of the encounter, including her exact name and the specific spiritual counsel she provided. Fields Kean went on to develop "The Results System," a healing technique, and eventually worked with native healers in South Africa.
